When the owners of this urban infill lot sought to add a secondary home to their property, they turned to prefab construction as a swift and environmentally-friendly solution. They engaged the expertise of the Plant Design Studio to collaboratively design a layout that optimizes the limited space, maximizes scenic views, and ensures privacy from the existing rental unit on their lot. The outcome is a compact yet well-appointed dwelling that resonated so strongly with us that it became a standard design known as LivingHome 4.

On the ground level, a two-car garage offers ample parking and serves as a secure entry point to the home. Upon entering, guests are welcomed into an open-plan kitchen and living area that seamlessly extends onto a deck, facilitating enjoyable outdoor dining while relishing the breathtaking vistas.

Upstairs, two guest rooms enjoy access to a balcony at the front of the home and incorporate clerestory windows along the side walls to ensure privacy from neighboring properties. Towards the rear, a spacious master suite opens up to a private balcony, commanding panoramic views of the Los Angeles skyline.

Efficiently constructed in our Rialto, CA factory, the home was prefabricated as four fully finished Plant Modules™ and swiftly installed within a matter of hours.
